Anime Mascot Characters v17

Added original anime mascot characters (Mimo, Nova, Pixel): home hero and 404 (Mimo), Play boot panel (Nova), CraftVerse card accent (Pixel), Showcase and Updates peek (Mimo), Story watermark (Mimo). Brand mark evolved into Mimo face icon.

Anime mascot characters added to hub

Three original anime mascot characters now appear across the site: Mimo (lab guide, pink hair, sakura hoodie) in the home hero and 404 page; Nova (FPS guide, cat-ear headset, controller) in the Play boot panel; Pixel (sandbox guide, voxel block clips) as a corner accent on the CraftVerse card in the Showcase catalog. Brand mark and favicon evolved into Mimo chibi face icon. Speech bubble greeting on first visit. Mascots auto-hide during active gameplay.

Kawaii pink anime visual overhaul

Replaced the cyber/cyan palette with a sakura pink anime aesthetic: hot pink accents (#ff6eb4), deep rose backgrounds (#1a0a14), violet highlights (#ff9ed2), and mint sparkle status colors. New display font M PLUS Rounded 1c gives a softer, cuter feel. Sparkle decorations, bouncy hover effects, gradient border shimmer animations, and pink particle system complete the kawaii vibe.

Pointer-lock overhaul for all games

Fixed DeadTakeover, Dead Zone, and CraftVerse pointer-lock behavior when loaded inside the Play iframe. Added click-to-play overlays so users know to click before mouse capture starts. Pointer-lock errors now show "open in new tab" fallback links.

Dead Zone embed mode

Dead Zone: Evacuation now supports hub iframe mode with `?embed=1` parameter, embed overlay with click-to-play UX, pointer-lock error handling with retry, and "open in new tab" link when browser blocks cross-document lock.

Site-wide v11 copy sync

Updated all version strings from v9/v10 to v11 across home, play, showcase, and updates pages. Fixed stale project counts (now 3 playable embeds, 4 featured systems). Added Dead Zone play CTA to home hero.

Play shell improvements

Iframes now focus on load for keyboard routing. Click-to-play overlay appears on each game. Added tabindex=-1 to iframes. Fullscreen hint text updated to cover pointer-lock fallbacks.

CraftVerse embed inject layer

Added craftverse-lab.js for hub iframe play: click-to-play overlay, pointer-lock error recovery, mobile desktop hint, and embed styling without modifying the Vite bundle.

Combat visual effects layer

New visual-effects.js engine adds floating damage numbers (5 types), wave announcements with scale-in animation, 5-tier kill streak banners, two-stage low-health vignette, crosshair hit feedback, CSS screen shake, weapon HUD, and atmospheric vignette.

UI and HUD redesign

Restyled loading screen, main menu glassmorphism, in-game HUD with design-system colors, animated crosshair and hit marker, debug overlay with Orbitron headers, and streaming diagnostics with P95 frame timing.

Director overlay rewrite

Full rewrite with live canvas FPS graph (60-frame history), 4-stat readout grid, 14 rotating gameplay tips, quality buttons, compact HUD toggle, photo mode, and minimize with O key.

Lab+ field guide expansion

Four-section field guide (Starter Kit, Survival Loop, Combat Tips, Performance), 10-weapon arsenal grid with ammo/mag/damage stats, and 5 enemy type cards with descriptions.

Website systems layer

Added a release center, stronger command launcher links, updated navigation, player route checks, cache refresh controls, and smarter last-game memory.

Streaming throttle pass

Reduced distant chunk radius and slowed background chunk construction further to fight hitches while moving through the world.

Added starter content, field guide, quality buttons, and the first version of the website command launcher.
